AROUND WoodHaven

Three Island's 900 acres of structured waters are home to the walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, crappie, sunfish, and yellow perch. It is one of the best, yet least known, fishing lakes in the Bemidji Area.

Within minutes of Woodhaven are two 18-hole golf courses, excellent restaurants, shopping centers, movie theatres, the Paul Bunyan Playhouse, hiking, and much more for the entire family.

Hiking and Mountain Biking

Take a hike! See what the Three Island Park North Trail has to offer. The trail is about 3 miles long, from the North trailhead: 7007 Island View Drive North East, to the South trailhead: 6701 3 Island Road North East.

The trail is lightly trafficked, kid-friendly, and great for all skill levels. During the summer, enjoy the wilderness and birdwatching while hiking or mountain biking through the forest along the Three Island Lake. In the winter, the trail is set up for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

A variety of recreational trails are available next door at the Three Island Park which is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an archeological site.

Spending time in nature can bring big benefits to your well-being. The clean air and quiet atmosphere at Woodhaven resort help people feel connected to nature and to relax, which is difficult to achieve in populated areas.

Nature helps people to rejuvenate by providing opportunities to socialize with family and friends and to become physically active in the outdoors. Spend time in nature, being present in the moment, and engage all senses to become rested, renewed, and back on track.
